The Garden Center Show is the premier event for independent garden centers, with an emphasis on independent. Taking place August 8-10, 2023, at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is a big show for small businesses. The Garden Center Show assembles garden center operators, suppliers, educators, and business thought leaders in one place to help independent business owners compete with big box operations.
The show focuses on the products, offerings, and services that small businesses excel at and which differentiate them from their corporate competitors. It is a 3-day exhibition in downtown Milwaukee, at Wisconsin’s premiere convention and sporting complex. Exhibitors from around the country will present their products for the 2023 holiday season and the 2024 gardening season. The GCS Conference complements the exhibition with a continuing education program consisting of 22 sessions, led by top minds and leading experts in specialized areas of retail, gardening, and business management.
Garden center operators are also invited to participate in an Independent Garden Center store tour, taking place on Monday, August 8, the day before the show opens. The tour will visit five Milwaukee area garden centers. Garden center professionals will have the opportunity to network with fellow business owners, share business strategies, and spark new ideas.
